Meet remotely whilst still being able to see each other....
We will agree a weekly appointment time and then meet via a secure video calling platform for these sessions. As we will be able to see and hear each other via our electronic devices it is more like Face to Face counselling than other remote counselling methods.
Is counselling via video confidential?
I will always make sure I am in a private space for our video call session and for the session to be confidential it is important that you are too. This means we won’t be overheard or interrupted during our session.
My laptop is password protected and I also ‘lock’ our virtual meeting room so there’s no chance anyone else can enter it. Each client has a separate link for their sessions so there will not be any accidental cross over.
Why choose counselling via video?
- Most similar to Face to Face Counselling
- Saves time and money as there’s no travelling
- Suits those with mobility issues or other reasons for not leaving the house
- Good if you have limited time
Things to consider
- Do you have somewhere comfortable and private to sit?
- Do you have a computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone?
- Do you have headphones that connect to your device? (not essential but some clients like to use them)
- Do you have a good stable internet connection?
